Study Guide / Outline
Introduction
God orders the steps of the righteous, not only the significant milestones but also the daily, faithful acts of obedience. Miracles are not limited to final outcomes; they are encountered along the way when there is trust in God’s leading and a willingness to follow.
Section 1: God Orders Steps, Not Events
- Description: God does not orchestrate only major life events. He celebrates every small step of obedience. Miracles unfold in the daily steps, not just in the final outcomes.
- Main Points:
- Small Steps Matter – God rejoices in our small acts of obedience, even when we overlook their significance.
- Creation Shows the Pattern – God created the world step by step, pausing to call each part good, modeling how we should value each phase of our life.
- Daily Obedience Releases Power – When we walk daily with God, He reveals miracles along the path.
- Scripture References: Psalm 37:23, Genesis 1, John 9:1, John 4, Luke 8
Section 2: Miracles Are Found in the Steps
- Description: God’s miracles often appear in the journey itself. Jesus repeatedly encountered and ministered to people while en route to other places, showing us that powerful things happen in the process.
- Main Points:
- The Journey Is Sacred – Jesus met the woman at the well and healed others, not at His destination, but along His route.
- Interruptions Are Opportunities – Divine encounters happen when we slow down and stay sensitive to God’s leading.
- Joyful Obedience Invites Power – Like the man born blind, when we obey God’s instruction, healing flows in the act of going.
- Scripture References: John 9:1–7, John 4, Luke 8, Psalm 89:15
Section 3: The Enemy Fights the Steps
- Description: Satan doesn’t wait for the destination. He fights you in the process because he knows miracles are in the steps. When you’re under attack, it’s a sign that your steps are on the right path.
- Main Points:
- Spiritual Resistance Is Confirmation – The enemy ridicules every step because he sees their divine potential.
- Reverse the Lies – Since Satan is the father of lies, every discouragement is an inverted confirmation of God’s truth.
- Attacks Reveal Destiny – The areas where the enemy targets you are often the keys to your purpose.
- Scripture References: Psalm 89:51, John 10:10, James 1:6–8
Section 4: Walk in Divine Order
- Description: God calls us to walk in alignment with His Word and His cadence. Wobbling or double-mindedness leads to instability, but order comes through the Word, which lights our path and steadies our steps.
- Main Points:
- Divine Cadence Brings Stability – Like Enoch, we are to walk in rhythm with God’s steps and timing.
- His Word Orders Our Steps – God’s Word brings clarity, focus, and eliminates spiritual wandering.
- Stop Wobbling – A double-minded person is unstable. Grounding in the Word brings secure footing.
- Scripture References: Psalm 119:133, Psalm 119:105, James 1:6–8, Proverbs 4:12
Section 5: Say Yes and Step Into the Miracle Zone
- Description: Saying “yes” to God means stepping into the zone where miracles happen. Obedience often begins with small but courageous acts. Faith is not just belief, it’s trusting God enough to move.
- Main Points:
- Faith Requires Movement – God honors our steps, not just our declarations of faith.
- Trust Is Active – Like a trust fall, faith demands action, not contemplation.
- Sent to Be Healed – The Pool of Siloam means “sent,” symbolizing that miracles are activated when we walk in obedience to God’s sending.
- Scripture References: John 9:7, Proverbs 4:12, Psalm 37:23
Section 6: The Cost and Reward of Obedient Steps
- Description: Obedient steps are often uncomfortable, but the reward is intimacy with God and the ability to impact others. Obedience is rarely convenient, but always fruitful.
- Main Points:
- Sacrifice Builds Endurance – Walking by faith may involve discomfort, but the reward is spiritual growth and kingdom fruit.
- Obedience Over Comfort – We must be more committed to God’s call than to ease and safety.
- Your Steps Impact Others – Acts of obedience often bless others in ways you may never know.
- Scripture References: Psalm 37:23, Hebrews 12:1–2, Romans 12:1
Conclusion
God is inviting us to get excited about every act of obedience, no matter how small. Our steps matter deeply to Him. As we step out in faith, we activate the supernatural and align ourselves with God’s purposes.
